Charming Hotel in moscow ,Ritz Carlton Hotel

Ritz Carlton Hotel

The most eagerly awaited hotel in Moscow eventually opened its doors in July 2007, with a stated aim to raise the standard for luxury hotels in the city. With the biggest entry-level rooms in Moscow, superb dining, business and fitness facilities, and an extraordinary range of concierge services to cater to every imaginable customer need, the Ritz Carlton can lay reasonable claim to being the finest in Moscow.

The Ritz Carlton's spacious and sumptuously decorated rooms and suites are traditionally styled, with polished wood and rich natural fabrics, but also fully equipped with state-of-the-art technical amenities. The hotel's public spaces are even more lavish, with the city's biggest ball room heading the list of spectacular conference and meeting spaces. The Ritz Carlton's restaurants, headed by a Michelin 3-star chef, are some of the finest in Moscow, and the 2,000-square-meter fitness center and ESPA is an experience in itself.

A brand new building on the site of the old Intourist Hotel, the Ritz Carlton has an elegant, understated facade, and is only a few steps from the Kremlin and Red Square.

Ritz Carlton Hotel: Location & Directions

Nearest metro: Ohotny Ryad, Ploschad Revolyutsii, Teatralnaya

The Ritz Carlton Moscow enjoys a premier location at the bottom of Moscow's central Ulitsa Tverskaya, just a few steps from Kremlin and the Red Square. Ideally situated for sightseeing, business, shopping and dining, the Ritz Carlton is right next to Moscow's most famous sights and attractions.

The nearest metro station, Okhotny Ryad, is less than five minutes' walk from the front door of the Ritz Carlton, and stands at an interchange between three lines, offering fast access to almost every corner of the city.

Moscow's major airports - Sheremetyevo, Domodoedovo and Vnukovo - are all suburban, and will take at least an hour to reach by car. All Moscow's mainline stations are within 20 minutes' drive from the Ritz Carlton.

Local sightseeing
The superb situation of the Ritz Carlton means that Moscow's most celebrated historic sights are mostly visible from the hotel itself. The Kremlin, of which the imposing medieval walls and towers are clearly visible from most floors of the hotel, is the political and religious center of Moscow, which has seen over eight centuries of Russian history, and contains spectacular cathedrals, rich collections of state treasure, and the center of modern Russian government.

Next door, Red Square is one of the world's most famous tourist sights, and deservedly so. From the unsettling beauty of St. Basil's Cathedral to the elegant style moderne facade of the GUM shopping mall, the square is a feast of architectural delights, with a cumulative effect that is nothing short of breathtaking.

Just a few minutes' walk from the Ritz Carlton on Teatralnaya Ploshchad, Moscow's Bolshoy Theater is one of the greatest opera houses in the world, and is rapidly recovering from a lull in the nineties. By the time it reopens in 2008, it will once again be home to a unique and highly respected ballet company that excels at grand performance on a monumental scale.

Ulitsa Tverskaya, on which the Ritz Carlton stands, has been one of Moscow's major transport arteries since the founding of the city, the start of the road to Tver, which was a major trading center in medieval Russia. Today it has a number of interesting sights, and is home to many of Moscow's most prestigious shops and dining establishments.
